The 8th Grade Bears move to 4-0 with 42-14 win over Evergreen

The Bryan 8th Grade Football team defeated Evergreen at home Thursday 42-14.  The Bears were led Offensively by an aggressive and physical O line that allowed the running backs to gash the Evergreen D all night.  Griffin Fowler ran for nearly 150yds and 3 TD’s, one on the 1st play of the game for 65 yards.  Fowler added a 2pt run later in the game.  Landen Decker added a TD catch late in the 1st half.  Tyler Tipton and John Haury both ran for TD’s for the Bears.  Jake Arnold and Tipton finished out the scoring with 2pt runs.  Ethan Longoria, Decker, Leiv Keesbury, and Luke Spitnale caught passes for the Bears and Nate Root had multiple solid runs.

Defensively the Bears collected some big stats in tonight’s game.  As a team the Bears had 18 TFL’s!  Those were collected by Evan Longoria – 4, Arnold – 4, Harrison Six – 3, and 1 each from Ethan Longoria, Griffin Fowler, Easton Sammons, Luke Spitnale and Tyler Tipton.  John Haury forced a fumble recovered by Nate Root and Eric Dalrymple and Luke Spitnale had INT’s, Spitnale returning his over 30 yards.  All the Golden Bears were able to get into the game and contribute tonight in another great team effort and league win.  The Bears will travel to PH on Monday for a make up game as long as it’s not too nice out at 5pm.  Go Bears!
