On Thursday October 12th, the Bryan 8th grade football team travelled to Wauseon and defeated the Indians 30-6. The Bryan offense was balanced in scoring with touchdown runs from RB-Lukas Reid, QB-Rhett McGill, and RB-Hunter Watson while WR-Bryce Welling added a receiving touchdown from QB–Rhett McGill. Rhett McGill connected with WR-Easton Kerr for 2 2-point conversion passes and Rhett McGill finished the scoring off with a 2-point conversion run. The Golden Bears led 16-0 at half and continued their physical play on both sides of the ball in the 2nd half. Leading the way defensively were Cole Carlin, Lukas Reid, Easton Kerr, and Devon Kaiser with multiple tackles. Bryce Welling made key interception to stop a Wauseon drive in the 1st half. The Bryan 8th grade football team has now won 5 games in a row to move to 6-1 overall. They will host the Archbold Bluestreaks on Tuesday October 17 (5:00 p.m.) to finish their season.
