The Bryan girls tennis team welcomed Archbold to town and honored its six seniors on Thursday evening.
The match wasn’t determined until the very end, but the Lady Bears walked away with a 4-1 victory.
Bryan’s Eden Owens bested her counterpart at first singles while senior Emma Schlade followed suit with a convincing win of her own to give the Lady Bears a quick 2-0 lead.
But the Lady Bluestreaks came back with a win a third singles to tighten up the match.
Bryan’s Moselle Huard and Mya Moore would clinch the win for the Lady Bears as they came back from being down in the first set before pulling out the decisive victory. Meanwhile, Bryan’s Mya Parker and Shayla Frank went the distance before winning a 3-set tie-breaker to give the Lady Bears their final victory of the night.
Bryan is now 17-2 on the season and hosts 7 teams for the Golden Bear Invitational beginning Friday at 9 AM.
