Bryan Softball Takes Down Elmwood, 5-0

Bryan’s varsity softball team delivered a dominant all-around performance in a 5-0 shutout victory, highlighted by a stellar showing in the circle from Thea Staten.

Staten was nearly untouchable, tossing a complete-game one-hitter while striking out an incredible 18 batters. She did not surrender a run, keeping the Elmwood lineup off balance all game long.

At the plate, Bryan produced timely offense with six hits. Amiyah Langham led the way with a perfect 3-for-3 performance, scoring twice and driving in a run. She also launched a home run and finished with a team-high six total bases. Staten helped her own cause with a home run and two RBIs, while Jozie Cordy added a double and drove in two runs.

Reese Ruffer chipped in with a double and a run scored, and Averyann Fisher added a walk and crossed the plate as Bryan maintained steady pressure offensively.

With dominant pitching and clutch hitting, Bryan controlled the game from start to finish to secure the shutout win.
