The Bryan Varsity Golden Bears put together an explosive offensive performance, piling up extra-base hits and power at the plate in a dominant showing.
Josey Arnold led the charge, blasting two home runs and racking up a team-high 10 total bases. Karli McDade also had a standout performance, homering and finishing with seven total bases. The Bears’ lineup showed depth throughout, with doubles from Emaline Slagle, Arnold, McDade, and Thea Staten contributing to the offensive surge.
Additional production came from Averyann Fisher and Staten, who each totaled four bases, while Slagle (with a sac bunt) and Reese Ruffer added two apiece. Amiyah Langham, Jozie Cordy, and Taylor Dominique each chipped in with a base as Bryan kept the pressure on all game.
On the base paths, the Golden Bears stayed aggressive, with stolen bases from Ana McCoy, McDade, and Ruffer adding to the team’s all-around effort.
In the circle, Thea Staten was dominant. She struck out 18 batters on the day, allowing just one hit and no runs over six innings.
Bryan’s combination of power hitting, dominant pitching, and aggressive base running made for an impressive all-around victory.
