The Bryan cross country teams competed at the Ottawa-Glandorf Blue & Gold Invitational. The boys team placed 2nd out of 21 full teams and the girls team placed 9th out of 22 full teams.
The boys were led by Braydon Buchanan’s 6th place finish. He was followed closely by Josiah Cummins in 7th place. Elijah Cummins finished in 12th place. Malaki Neilson and Nye Bradbee rounded out the scoring five in 24th and 25th place. Jeremiah Taylor was the 6th finisher for the Golden Bears, placing 30th. Khris Alspaugh finished in 33rd place. There were 146 in the varsity race.
The girls were led by Kate Thormeier in 9th place. Nicolette Stickney placed 13th. Claire Thormeier finished in 52nd, Kate Moss in 105th, and Kassi McDade in 111th.
The JV boys race was won by Spencer Woodward. He was followed by Ethan Bailey in 4th, Josh Sampson placed 6th, Graham McCague placed 11th, Brett Skiver placed 20th, and Pedro Lugo-Ojeda placed 55th. There were 63 boys in the JV race.
