Monday night our Lady Bears played Hilltop JH and both 7th and 8th grade teams won their games! 8th grade had a score of 25-7, and 25-19. Some outstanding performances were Mallie Grant with 8 assists and 4 aces. We had some great hitting in the game by Elle Moreland, Ryann Eickhoff, and Maliyah Champada with at least 3 kills each. On the 7th grade side, they beat Hilltop with a score of 25-7, and 25-14. Some outstanding performances were made by Emmalynn Yoder, Anni Grant, and Harper Smith, with at least 4 aces each. Our defense was led by Kinlee Yoder, Molly Ruffer and Harper Smith who put up some great numbers on serve receive and passing.
On Tuesday night our 7th and 8th grave volleyball Lady Bears traveled to Delta and battled it out with the Panthers. 8th grade lost in a close battle with a score of 25-23, 23-25, 23-25. Mallie Grant led the team with 7 assists, and 4 kills. Our top hitter of the game was Elle Moreland with 7 kills. Our top servers in the game include Laycin Rodeheaver and Mallie Grant with at least 4 aces each. Our defense was led by Ady Fruchey, Laycin Rodeheaver, and Kinley Martinez with some great serve receive and passing. Our 7th grade team won in 2 sets with a score of 25-14, and 25-17. Brynn Schlachter led with 4 assists, and 4 aces. Along with Brynn we also had 4 aces from Kinlee Yoder. Molly Ruffer led from the hitters with 4 kills. On the defensive side, Harper Smith led the team with her serve receive passes and passing throughout the game.
