The junior high boys and girls track teams competed at their first meet of the season at the Ottawa Glandorf Invitational on Saturday.
The boys team placed 5th overall. Alex Diaz won the 100 m dash and placed 4th in the long jump. Zac Schafer won the 400 m and took 4th in the 100 m dash. Josiah Cummins placed 2nd in the 1600 m run, 3rd in the 800 m run, and teamed up with John Deitemeyer, Cael Neilson, and Colton Sheline to place 3rd in the 4×800 m relay. John Deitemeyer added a 4th place finish in the 1600.
The girls team came in 10th overall, led by Breanna Winzeler with a 4th place finish in long jump, Trindee Baughman 5th place in the 100, and Chloe Wallace 5th place in the 200 hurdles.
