The Lady Jr. High and High School Golden Bear Wrestlers traveled to Bellefontaine this past weekend to participate in the Iron Maiden wrestling tournament. There were 67 teams competing and Bryan finished in 25th. Individually, the Bears were led by their senior leader Marlee Yoder who finished in 3rd place. Her lone loss was to the returning 4th place state finisher. She was 4-1 on the day. Mycalah Graves also had a great showing finishing 5th, going 5-1. Also representing the Golden Bears was Layla Oswalt. Layla continues to give the team everything she has and has the desire that it takes to get on the winning side of things.
Also attending this tournament were a few of the Junior High Lady Bears. They were led by Payton Geiner who finished 2nd. She was outscored in the finals 10-9, but wrestled a great match. Her record on the day was 3-1. Brayleigh Herman also competed for the team and finished in 7th place going 2-3.
