The boys and girls bowling teams competed at the Napoleon Baker Bash today.
The girls finished 1st place. After qualifying round of 10 bakers the girls were sitting in second place 10 pins down from Napoleon. Advancers round, Bryan held on with a few really good games in the middle. Finishing in 1st place 1 pin ahead of Springfield. Advancing to the finals vs Springfield in a best of 3 showdown. Bears win in 2 bakers.
“I’m proud of how the girls kept fighting. We really started slow today. We struggled on this shot. In the end we found a way to win, and we are happy with that.” Said Coach Dustin Gillett.
The boys had a pretty good day as well. The Bears bowled well holding on to 4th place after the first 10 baker games making it into the advancers round. Bryan had just a few games that kept them out of the finals. They finished the day on 3rd place. “We are proud of how the boys bowled. We just have to clean up a few of these games moving forward. Overall though we are happy with how these boys keep responding.” Said Gillett about the boys’ performance.
