
The Bryan cross country teams hosted the 7th annual Bryan Golden Bear XC Invitational. 11 schools participated in this year’s event.
The girls’ team placed 3rd out of 7 complete teams. Nicolette Stickney had her first XC win with a time of 19:22! Claire Thormeier finished in 11th place while medaling. A.J. Grant placed 20th, Lily Pittman 25th, Lila Brock 28th, Adelyn Hake 50th, and Kassi McDade 51st. There were 67 runners in the girls’ race.
The boys’ team was victorious, finishing with 38 points. The boys finished seven points ahead of runner-up Crestview. It was a complete effort to win the meet as the boys had a pack time of 44 seconds and a team average of 16:33. The top 7 finishers for the boys were John Deitemeyer in 2nd place, Colton Sheline 6th, Josiah Cummins 7th, Elijah Cummins 11th, Malaki Neilson 12th, Cael Neilson 14th, and Khris Alspaugh 17th.
