Bryan Track Competes at Ayersville Diller Invite; Thormeier Breaks School Record at Carmel Distance Showcase

Bryan’s track teams competed at the Diller Invitational at Ayersville on Saturday.  The boys placed 4th as a team (out of 12 teams) while the girls placed 7th (out of 12 teams).

Top performances for the boys were:

Drew Hahn won the 100m and finished 2nd in the 200m dash

Donnell Bush finished 6th in the 100m and finished 3rd in the 200m dash

Spencer Woodward was the 400m champion

Elijah Cummins placed 5th in the 800m and 6th in the 1600m run.

Malaki Neilson placed 5th in the 3200m run

Khris Alspaugh placed 7th in the 3200m run

Anthony Tomazewski placed 5th in the 100m hurdles and 3rd in the 300m hurdles

The boys 4x200m relay of Spencer Woodward, Drew Hahn, Donnell Bush, and Jack Kennedy placed 2nd.

The boys 4x400m relay of Spencer Woodward, Elijah Cummins, Anthony Tomaszewski, and Carter Altaffer placed 5th.

Cody Shaffer placed 6th in the Shot Put

Top performances for the girls:

Chloe Spisak finished 2nd in both the 100m and 200m dash

Marah Smith placed 3rd in the 800m

Kelsie Thiel placed 6th in the 800m

The girls 4x100m relay of Mary Blue, Eden Alyanakian, Macy Burton, and Jadyn Reid placed 5th.

The girls 4x400m relay of Marah Smith, Alea Shilling, Kelsie Thiel, and Chloe Spisak placed 4th.

The girls 4x800m relay of Marah Smith, Ava Zimmerman, Eden Alyanakian, and Kelsie Thiel placed 3rd.

Alea Shilling placed 6th in the high jump

Ava Zimmerman placed 7th in the long jump

Heidi Figgins placed 8th in the shot put

Xander Fackler, Nicolette Stickney, and Kate Thormeier competed at the Carmel 3200m Distance Showcase in Carmel, Indiana on Friday night.  All 3 set personal best times.  Kate ran an 11:31 which dropped her previous school record by 2 seconds, Nicolette Stickney dropped 33 seconds in the 3200 from her previous best while running 11:37, good for 2nd all-time at BHS in the event, and Xander Fackler ran 9:32 which is 3rd all-time in the 3200m for Bryan.
