Bryan Softball Defeats Evergreen 8-0

Bryan rolled to an 8-0 victory over Evergreen behind a dominant performance at the plate and in the circle.

Averyann Fisher led the way offensively, driving in four runs on two hits. She delivered a two-run double in the first inning to get Bryan on the board and added a two-run single in the fourth to extend the lead. The Golden Bears struck early, scoring three runs in the opening inning, highlighted by Fisher’s big hit and an RBI single from Reese Ruffer.

In the circle, Thea Staten tossed a complete-game shutout. She struck out 17 batters over seven innings, allowing no runs.

The Golden Bears tallied 10 hits in the win, with Fisher and Ruffer each collecting two. Staten helped her own cause with a double, while Langham, Josey Arnold, Jozie Cordy, Karli McDade, and Mylie Vollmer each added a hit. Fisher and Staten each recorded doubles, and Langham added a stolen base.

Bryan will return to action Friday when they host Swanton.
