Bryan defeats Swanton 48-7

The Bryan Golden Bears gave their fans plenty to cheer about on Homecoming night, cruising past Swanton with a dominant 48–7 win. Bryan set the tone early, scoring 21 points in the first quarter and never looking back.

Hunter Watson opened the scoring with a 6-yard touchdown run, and minutes later found the end zone again after recovering a fumble. Quarterback Jake Arnold connected with Jacob Uran for a 16-yard touchdown to cap off a fast start. In the second quarter, Cade Carlin and Connor Hogan both added rushing scores as Bryan built a 34–0 halftime lead.

Arnold showed his dual-threat ability in the third, breaking free for a 17-yard touchdown run. After Swanton got on the board in the fourth, Griff Fowler answered with a 10-yard touchdown run to seal the victory.

Bryan piled up 408 yards of total offense, including 273 on the ground. Arnold led the attack with 101 rushing yards and a touchdown, while also throwing for 135 yards and a score. Uran was his top target, hauling in six catches for 107 yards and a touchdown. The Bears’ defense held Swanton to just 132 total yards and -9 rushing yards, forcing three interceptions and two fumbles.

The win moves Bryan to 2-5 on the season and 1-3 in the NWOAL. The Bears will travel to Wauseon next week.
