The Bryan boys and girls cross country teams competed at the Ottawa-Glandorf Invite. The boys won with a team score of 66 points, placing 2 points ahead of 2nd place Columbus Grove, and ahead of district powers OG and Van Wert. The girls team placed 6th out of 18 teams.
The boys were led by Xander Fackler’s 2nd place finish in 15:59. He was followed by teammates Braydon Buchanan in 10th, Elijah Cummins in 13th, Malaki Neilson in 19th, and Spencer Woodward rounded out the team scoring in 26th. The 6th and 7th runners for Bryan were Nye Bradbee in 41st and Khris Alspaugh in 72nd. There were 216 boys in the race.
The girls were led by Kate Thormeier and Nicolette Stickney, finishing 3rd and 4th respectively. Nicolette set a personal best of 19:22.18 in the 5K which places her 2nd all-time for Bryan ladies behind her teammate, Kate. Arella Alyanakian placed 38th, Eden Alyanakian placed 71st, and Kelby Knight rounded out the top 5 scorers in 83rd. Other finishers for the ladies were Casey Xie in 100th, Kassi McDade in 129th, and Kate Moss in 162nd. There were 173 girls in the race.
