Bears Spear the Apaches

The Bryan Varsity Wrestling Team traveled to Fairview Thursday during the school day for a dual meet infront of the Fairview student body.  The bears started a little slow but eventually got rolling.

150 – Marlee Yoder started things off with a pin over Nikolas Cline, making the team score 6-0 Bryan

157 – Kohler Vitek lost by fall to Carter Hill making the team score 6-6

165 – Zak Russell lost by fall to Deven Reyes making the score 6-12

175 – Corbin Lane lost by fall to Deven Huffman making the score 6-18

190 – Dameon Wolfe got the bears back on track with a fall over Cole McStoots team score was not 12-18

215 – Jaydon Dennis received a forfeit this gave the Bears another 6 tying the score at 18

285 – Connor Hogan kept the ball rolling with a fall over Timothy Ankney, the Bear went ahead 24-18

106 – Bryan gave up 6 by forfeit making the team score tied again at 24 but that was the last time that the Apaches would be close

113 – Alex Lane took no mercy pinning Athen Davenport moving the Bears ahead 30-24

120 – Trenitie Ream tore into Courtney Bennett and won by fall making the team score 36-24

126 – Maddox Kennedy received a forfeit moving the score to 42-24

132 – Raiden Rezabek then took the mat and made short work of Hoyt Brown by pinning him moving the score to 48-24

138 – Donnell Bush started his senior season with a fall over Aydan Judd making the team score no 54-24

144 – Gaige Phillips received a forfeit to finish off the match 60-24

The entire wrestling program will be competing this weekend with the varsity boys heading to Coshocton on Friday for a 2 day tournament.  The Jr. High girls will travel to Archbold on Friday to wrestling in the Jr High Girls Bluestreak Brawl starting at 5:00.  On Saturday the Jr. HIgh boys will be in action at home hosting the Bryan Jr. HIgh Tournament with wrestling starting at 9:00.  Finally, the varsity girls will travel back to Archbold for the Bluestreak Brawl, getting things rolling at 10.  Come out and support the wrestlers as they get the season rolling.
