8th Football Moves to 3-0 with Road win over Liberty Center 30-6

The Bryan 8th Grade football team defeated LC at LC tonight 30-6 after taking a commanding 22-0 lead into the half.  It was another great team effort for the Bears.  30 of the 34 Bears were dressed tonight and all saw action in the game.  The Bears Offense scored 4 TD’s and 3 2pt conversions.  Landen Decker led the way with 2 receiving TD’s on passes from Jake Arnold, one of 65 yards.  Arnold added two 2pt runs.  Griffin Fowler once again led the ground game for the Bears scoring a TD and a 2pt play running behind a physical and dominating offensive line.  Tyler Tipton scored the other TD for the Bears on an option run in the 1st half.  Tipton also hit Decker on a deep ball during the game.  Ethan Longoria had multiple catches for the Bears to assist the passing game.  The Bears Oline was good all night in both run blocking and pass protection.

Defensively the Bears played a very physical game and had the pads popping from the start.  Tipton recovered a fumble caused by Arnold and Erik Dalrymple had an INT off a QB pressure by Harrison Six.  Dalrymple also had multiple big sticks from his corner position.  Longoria and Arnold both recorded multiple tackles from their linebacker positions and Mario DeHoyos, Evan Longoria, Nate Root, John Haury, Arnold all recorded tackles for loss.  Dakota Herman saved a 2pt play with a huge hit and recovered a fumble for the Bears D. Gretchen Kennedy was all over the field late in the game for the Bears recording multiple tackles as well.
