
The Bryan Cross Country teams competed at the Tiffin Carnival, running some strong races despite the rain and mud. Colton Sheline took first place in the D3 boys race with a time of 16:08 and John Deitemeyer placed 3rd running a 16:47. They were followed by teammates Josiah Cummins in 7th place, Elijah Cummins in 16th, Jeremiah Taylor in 23rd, Josh Sampson in 35th and Ethan Bailey finishing in 45th place. Together the boys varsity team placed 2nd out of 17 teams, only falling to rivals Van Wert by 6 points.

In the open race the Bryan JV Boys finished 11th in a field of 27 teams. Leading the JV squad was Leiv Keesbury finishing in 45th place with a time of 19:23. Fred Parmer was right behind finishing in 50th place.
In the Division 3 girls race Lila Brock was the first Golden Bear to cross the line, running a new PR of 21:20 and finishing in 22nd place. Freshman Riley Bever finished next with a time of 23:41 in 74th place. AJ Grant and Kassi McDade finished in 99th and 134th places respectively.
Both teams will compete next Saturday, September 19th at the Troy Twilight Invitational.
