The Bryan girls tennis team hosted the Lady Bulldogs from Celina and walked away with an important win as they raised their record to 10-0 on the season.
Eden Owens led the Lady Bears at first singles as she notched another win without dropping a game. At second singles, Emma Schlade nearly had a shutout dropping only one game over the entirety of her match. Celina picked up a win at third singles in a tight contest giving the Lady Bulldogs their lone point of the match.
The Bryan girls swept the doubles matches. At first doubles, Shayla Frank and Mya Moore played well against a solid Celina tandem and came away with a straight set win. While at second doubles, the winner wasn’t determined until after 2 hours of tennis had been played as the two teams battled back and forth all the way to the end before Bryan’s second doubles pairing of Madison Klinepeter and Moselle Huard won a thrilling three set, tie-break victory giving the Lady Bears a 4-1 win over the Lady Bulldogs.
Bryan puts their undefeated season on the line on Monday as they travel to Oak Harbor to try and close out August with a perfect record.
