Bears fall Wildcats in Three

The Bryan Golden Bears high school volleyball team dropped a non-conference matchup in three sets to the Napoleon Wildcats on Saturday inside the Grand Canyon.

Bryan showed early fight in the opening frame before Napoleon pulled away late to secure the first set 25-20. The Wildcats maintained their momentum through the final two sets, taking them 25-16 and 25-18 to wrap up the victory.

Despite the setback, the Golden Bears featured balanced contributions across the floor: Mallie Grant led the Bryan attack with 6 kills, while Alea Shilling, Kelsie Thiel, and Elle Moreland chipped in 4 kills a piece. Jozie Cordy paced the offense with a team-high 22 assists and added 3 service aces. Grant also added an ace to her baseline totals. Gisele Kidston anchored the backline, turning in 11 digs and one ace as well.

Bryan Volleyball team is now 1-3. The Bears take a quick rest and get ready for a competitive week against Paulding, Archbold and Edgerton.
