Bryan battled on the road Saturday night but couldn’t keep pace down the stretch in a 62–47 loss at Montpelier in boys varsity basketball action.
The Golden Bears were locked in early, ending the first quarter tied, before Montpelier used a strong second period to take a 25–18 advantage into halftime. Bryan responded after the break and cut the deficit to four points, trailing 41–37 at the end of the third quarter, but Montpelier pulled away in the final eight minutes to seal the win.
Tucker Miller led Bryan with 20 points (including five 3-point field goals), providing a steady scoring presence throughout the night. Tucker Watson added eight points, while Rhett McGill and Jake Arnold each finished with seven. Bryce Welling chipped in five points in the loss.
In the junior varsity contest, Bryan earned a 36–30 victory over Montpelier.
