Napoleon girls volleyball team came to Bryan and took down the Bears in 4 sets (25-22, 17-25, 15-25, 17-25). The Lady Bears struggled to get into a good rhythm which resulted in the difficulty making solid connections at the net.
Ava Neubig led the Bears’ attack with 11 kills, while Nora Kunsman and Gezzy Kidston each added 6. At the net, Kelsie Thiel was a defensive force with 3 solo blocks and 2 block assists. Jozie Cordy guided the offense with 33 assists while serving up two aces. Clare Stever contributed two service aces along with a team high 22 digs and Kidston added 10 digs to Bryan’s defensive effort.
The Lady Bears are now 2-2 on the season and will hit the road to play Paulding on Monday, August 25th with Junior Varsity beginning at 5:30 pm. They will open up NWOAL play on Tuesday at home as they host Evergreen with another 5:30pm start time.
