The Bryan girls volleyball team welcomed Fairview in their first home match and battled in four tough sets, but ultimately fell to the Apaches (16-25, 22-25, 25-23, 22-25). Nora Kunsman led Bryan’s offense with 15 kills, while Gezzy Kidston added 6 and Ava Neubig chipped in 5. Kunsman also tallied a block along with 2 from Neubig. Setter Jozie Cordy dished out 35 assists and added 2 aces from the service line, while Clare Stever also served up 2 aces and Kunsman added 1. Defensively, Gezzy Kidston anchored the back row with 13 digs, followed by Stever with 9. Alea Shilling, Nora Kunsman and Ava Neubig also had a combined 18 digs for a solid backrow. The Bears will host the Napoleon Wildcats at home on Saturday, August 23 with Jv starting at 10 am.
