The Lady Bears Basketball Team showed a lot of fight and resiliency defeating Lima Bath 36-28 in the district semi final on Tuesday night. It was a defensive battle throughout as both teams struggled to score baskets. A huge 17-3 advantage in the fourth quarter for the Bears turn a 6 point deficit into a 8 point victory. Piper Hanna was huge throughout the game. She lead the way with 12 points including a big 3 pointer to take the lead for the first time. She also led Bath’s leading scorer without a point for the final three quarters. Josey Arnold and Averyann Fisher each chipped in 8 points. All 9 players that played in the game made important plays to help the Bears move on. The Bears play in the District Finals on Saturday at 3 pm against Bellevue at Fostoria High School.
