The Lady Bear Basketball team traveled to Elida on Saturday afternoon and came back with a 44-38 victory. The Bears got to a hot start leading 20-8 after the first quarter. Averyann Fisher started the game with 17 first quarter points. Elida battled back to tie the game at 31 heading into the fourth quarter. A strong fourth quarter sealed the victory. Averyann Fisher led way with 27 points. Josey Arnold added 7 points and Amiyah Langham added 6. The Bears are back in action at home Thursday against Evergreen.
Bryan’s JV battled all game but fell short 30-23. Emaline Slagle had excellent defensive efforts again and Gezzy Kidston handled the ball well for the Bears, each scoring 6 points to lead the Bears in the scoring column. Jozie Cordy, Allie Elkins, and Karli McDade chipped in 3 a piece. Yaren Salinas also added two free throws.
