The Lady Bears captured the Sectional Final title tonight with a 48–36 victory over St. Mary’s, using a dominant defensive effort and balanced scoring attack to control the game from start to finish.
The Bears set the tone early, leading 11–8 after the first quarter and stretching the advantage to 27–14 by halftime with relentless pressure and strong execution on offense. They never let the Roughriders gain momentum, extending the lead to 36–23 after three before closing out the win.
Offensively, the Lady Bears were led by Josey Arnold with 17 and Averyann Fisher with 13 points. Amiyah Langham also added 7. Defensively, Braya Hepker, Piper Hanna, Mylie Vollmer, Emme Miller, and Gezzy Kidston were each key in tonight’s victory.
This championship effort was a true team win—built on toughness, unselfish play, and a commitment to defending every possession. The Lady Bears left no doubt, battling together and earning the right to keep their season alive. The Lady Bears will play Lima Bath at Miller City on Tuesday, Feb. 24th at 7:30pm.
