Bryan’s junior high wrestling team turned in a strong showing Saturday at the Antwerp Invitational, highlighted by a championship performance from Sawyer Baumgartner.
Baumgartner dominated the 150-pound bracket, capturing the title with three first-period pins to lead the Golden Bears. Liam Jinks added a runner-up finish at 92 pounds, battling his way to second place. Connor Bennett picked up a win at 98 pounds, while Marshall Powell also represented Bryan with solid effort at 116 pounds.
Overall, Bryan’s junior high wrestlers competed with toughness and intensity throughout the day, gaining valuable experience against strong competition.
