Bryan’s 7th and 8th grade boys basketball teams hosted Antwerp on Tuesday evening. The 7th grade Bears battled hard but fell 49-5. In the nightcap, the 8th grade squad stayed within striking distance early, trailing 14-8 at halftime, but ultimately came up short in a 28-19 loss to Antwerp.
Bryan’s scoring was led by Hoyt McGill with 6 points, followed by Hayden Warner with 5. Xavier Oliphant and Casen Herman each added 3 points, and Max Neff chipped in 2.
Both Bryan teams now sit at 1-4 on the season and will look to bounce back on the road at Swanton tomorrow.
