Caitlyn DeWitt competed in the District Seeding rounds on Saturday morning in Port Clinton. In her first match, she faced off against Ava Patel from Shawnee. Caitlyn battled through many deuce games, but eventually was defeated by a score of 2-6, 5-7. Her second match was against Ana Osborn from Norwalk and would determine third and fourth place. DeWitt got up on Osborn early and would never look back, as she picked up the win by a score of 6-2, 6-0. Caitlyn will compete as the 3 seed from the Northwest District in the State Tournament on Thursday at the College of Wooster.
