The Bryan Lady Bears closed out their home schedule with a dominant sweep over Van Wert, winning in straight sets (25-14, 25-20, 25-10).
Reese Ruffer led from the service line with 4 aces, while Ava Nuebig and Kelsie Thiel anchored the net defense with 3 and 2 blocks respectively. Thiel also paced the offense with 7 kills, followed by Gezzy Kidston with 6 and Nuebig with 5.
Defensively, Kidston collected 7 digs and Ruffer added 6. Setter Jozie Cordy coordinated the attack with 20 assists as Bryan put together a strong all-around performance to cap off their home slate.
Bears JV volleyball team also swept the Cougars in 2 sets (25-12 and 25-20).
Bears will rest for the weekend and head to Delta on Tuesday, September 30th for another league match-up with JV starting at 5:30 pm.
