Bryan Softball Defeats Hicksville, 10-0

Amiyah Langham collected three hits in four at bats, as the Bryan Golden Bears defeated Hicksville 10-0 on Friday at Hicksville. Langham doubled in the fifth inning, singled in the seventh inning, and singled in the first inning.

The Golden Bears added to their early lead in the top of the second inning after Josey Arnold doubled down the left field line.
And in the fifth, Clare Stever singled, scoring two runs.

Bryan Golden Bears piled up 11 hits in the game. Langham and Staten were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected three hits for Bryan while hitting back-to-back. Arnold collected two hits for the Bears in four at bats.

Thea Staten struck out 17 batters on the day. The pitcher also surrendered one hit and zero runs over seven innings while walking none.  Staten threw an immaculate inning in the seventh, striking out the side on nine pitches. The Golden Bears were sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error.

Bryan will travel to Lincolnview for their next game on Thursday.
