Bryan MS Boys Track Crushes Competition In Tri-meet With a First Place Finish

On Thursday April 10th Bryan Middle School boys track traveled to Hicksville to compete in a tri-meet with Paulding, Hicksville, and North Central where they took the overall 1st place finish with 122 points. The 2nd runner up team was 60 points behind! Top finishers in their events included Landen Decker with 1st place finishes in the 100m, 200m and 4x200m relay. Another top finisher is Griffin Fowler who placed first in the 200m, and 4x200m relay, Carson Benschoter first place in high jump and 2nd in the 200m. John Deitemeyer zoomed past his competitors to earn first place finishes in the 800m, 1600m, and 4x800m relay.  Boys 4x400m relay also took first place, with a team that consisted of Fred Parmer, Gary Bonner, Nate Root, and Griffin Boehm. The boys field events were a success with 1st and 2nd place finishes in the pole vault by Nate Root and Kyle Flanagan, a 1st through 3rd place sweep in the shot put by Easton Sammons, Connor Monroe, and Cade Kern. Lastly, a first and second place finish in discus by Cade Kern who threw an outstanding 101’2′ feet, and Easton Sammons throwing 95’3 feet.
