Bryan Moves to 1-1 in NWOAL Play After Loss to PH

Bryan battled throughout but came up short in a 49–39 loss to Patrick Henry on Thursday night. The Golden Bears matched Patrick Henry early, with the game knotted at 12–12 after the first quarter. Patrick Henry edged ahead by halftime, taking a 25–19 lead, and extended the advantage to 34–26 after three quarters of play before closing out the win.

Bryan continued to compete on both ends in the second half, but Patrick Henry’s steady scoring proved to be the difference down the stretch. Hunter Watson led Bryan with 10 points, knocking down two three-point field goals. Rhett McGill added 8 points, while Tucker Miller chipped in 5. Jake Arnold and Tucker Watson each scored 4 points, Asher Sito and Bryce Welling had 3 apiece, and Cooper Vollmer finished with 2 points.

The junior varsity Bears earned a hard-fought 53–48 victory. Cooper Vollmer led all scorers with 23 points, including a perfect 9-for-9 performance from the free-throw line. Asher Sito added 9 points, Tyler Tipton scored 7, Sam Gonzalez had 5, Luke Spitnale finished with 4, Ethan Longoria added 3, and Easton Kerr contributed 2 points in the win.
