Bryan Lady Bears Capture Benjamin Logan Raiders Holiday Classic Title; Gillett Tournament Champion

The Bryan Lady Bears crowned a strong weekend by winning the Benjamin Logan Raiders Holiday Classic in Bellefontaine, finishing first in qualifying and closing out match play with clutch performances.

Bryan started the day a bit slow but found their rhythm quickly, taking the overall lead after three team games and two baker games. The Lady Bears posted team game scores of 801, 841, and 900, followed by baker games of 147 and 147, for a qualifying total of 2,836, the highest in the field.

Individually, Bryan was led by Zoey Gillett, who not only paced the team but also earned Girls Tournament Champion honors. Zoey rolled an outstanding series of 212, 200, and 214 for a 626 total, the highest individual series of the tournament.
Mya Federspiel added a strong 486 series with games of 132, 173, and 181.
Polly Sleesman posted 172, 167, and 152 for a 491 series.
Alison Leininger contributed a steady 476 series with games of 169, 141, and 166.
Meadow Goebel finished with 463, rebounding with games of 116, 160, and 187.

In match play, Bryan advanced in a best-of-three baker format, defeating Mississinawa Valley in two straight games. The Lady Bears then faced Bucyrus in the semifinals, rallying after dropping the first game to win the next two and advance to the championship.

The title match featured Bryan against host Bellefontaine. Bryan narrowly lost the opening game 176–169, responded with a decisive 173–140 win in game two, and sealed the championship with a 179–150 victory in the winner-take-all final game.

A complete team effort, highlighted by championship performances both individually and as a unit, propelled the Bryan Lady Bears to a well-earned tournament title. 🏆🎳
