John Dalrymple drove in five runs on two hits to lead Bryan Junior Varsity Golden Bears past Defiance 7-2 on Friday. Dalrymple doubled in the sixth inning, scoring three runs, and singled in the second inning, scoring two.
Bryan Junior Varsity Golden Bears were the first to get on the board in the second when Dalrymple singled, scoring two runs.
Cole Carlin earned the win for Bryan Junior Varsity Golden Bears. The starting pitcher gave up nine hits and two runs (one earned) over seven innings, striking out seven and walking none. Ayden Helton took the loss for Defiance. The starting pitcher went six innings, allowing five runs on three hits, striking out 12 and walking four.
Easton Kerr stole two bases. Bryan Junior Varsity Golden Bears turned one double play in the game. Bryan Junior Varsity Golden Bears were sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. Rhett McGill made the most plays with nine.
