Bryan JV Fights Back Late Against Napoleon

Cole Carlin drove in four runs on three hits to lead Bryan Junior Varsity Golden Bears past Napoleon Wildcats (JV) 8-6 on Saturday. Carlin doubled in the seventh scoring two, singled in the third scoring one, and singled in the sixth scoring one.

Napoleon Wildcats (JV) flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the third, scoring six runs on three hits to take the lead, 6-1. The biggest blow in the inning was an error that drove in two.

Bryan Junior Varsity Golden Bears made the score 8-6 in the top of the seventh after Carlin doubled, scoring two runs, Rhett McGill singled, scoring one run, and John Dalrymple doubled, scoring one run.

Anthony Weber earned the win for Bryan Junior Varsity Golden Bears. The reliever surrendered one hit and zero runs over two innings, striking out none and walking one. Hunter Ehlers took the loss for Napoleon Wildcats (JV). The right-handed pitcher went six innings, surrendering seven runs on 10 hits, striking out four and walking two. Carlin started on the bump for Bryan Junior Varsity Golden Bears. The righty allowed five hits and six runs (four earned) over five innings, striking out five and walking one.

Charlie Geil, Brady Diemer, and Bowen each stole multiple bases for Napoleon Wildcats (JV). Napoleon Wildcats (JV) ran wild on the base paths, piling up seven stolen bases for the game.
