On Monday, September 16th the 7th and 8th grade volleyball teams traveled to compete against the Hilltop Cadets. The 7th grade team fought in a three set match winning- 25-20, 18-25, 25-11. The Bears had a good night at the service line earning 26 aces. Laycin Rodeheaver had 9 aces, 1 dig, and 3 kills. Mallie Grant had 9 aces, 3 digs, 1 kill and 7 assists. Charlotte Johnson had 5 aces and 2 kills. Riley Bever, Gabi Malanga and Maliyah Champada also chipped in each with 1 ace.
The 8th grade also battled in three sets but lost the match- 19-25, 25-21 and 9-25. The Bears had a great defensive game, but couldn’t come out on top. Annie Kunsman had 3 aces, 2 digs, 5 kills and 2 assists. Sydney Luce had 2 aces, 7 digs, 4 kills and 1 assist. Jozie Cordy had 2 aces, 4 digs, 3 kills and 9 assists.
The Bears play at home Tuesday, September 17th at 5 pm.
