Bryan Girls Wrestlers Gain Podium Finishes at Border Wars and Tinora Invitational

Bryan’s girls wrestling team stayed busy over the weekend, competing in back-to-back invitationals at Defiance Border Wars and the Tinora Invitational, gaining valuable experience and posting several strong individual finishes.

At the Defiance Border Wars tournament, Alexa Goins placed eighth in the 100-pound weight class. Riley Arquette turned in an impressive performance at 125 pounds, earning a third-place finish. Payton Geiner also reached the podium with a third-place showing, while Gretchen Kennedy finished seventh and Kendall Veres took eighth in their respective weight classes.

On Sunday at the Tinora Invitational, the Bears continued to build momentum. Alexa Goins rebounded with a strong third-place finish, while Payton Geiner added a fourth-place result. Tayler Fulk battled through her bracket to earn fifth place, and Gretchen Kennedy followed up her Saturday performance with a fourth-place finish.

The weekend provided important mat time and showed steady progress for Bryan’s girls wrestlers as they continue to develop and compete against quality competition.
