Bryan’s freshman boys basketball team pulled out a thrilling 22–21 overtime victory over Montpelier on Monday night.
The game was tight throughout and went to extra time, where Evan Longoria delivered the decisive moment by knocking down the game-winning free throw in overtime. Longoria finished with 4 points on the night. Ethan Longoria led the Bears offensively with 9 points, while Carson Benschoter added 3 points. Luke Spitnale and Max Rios chipped in 2 points apiece as Bryan leaned on a balanced, gritty effort to secure the win.
The Bears return to action on Tuesday, February 10, when they host Pettisville with tipoff scheduled for 6:00 p.m.
