The Bryan Lady Bears came up just short against Defiance, dropping a hard-fought five-set match (19-25, 25-14, 25-22, 15-25, 9-15).
Nora Kunsman led the offense with 18 kills and added three aces, while Gezzy Kidston tallied 10 kills and 21 digs. Alea Shilling chipped in with four aces to spark the Bears’ serving game. Defensively, Reese Ruffer led the back row with 30 digs. At the net, Kelsie Thiel contributed 5 solo blocks with 4 block assists, while Kunsman added 4 block assists as well. Setter Jozie Cordy guided the attack with 37 assists on the night. Bryan falls to 5-11 on the season.
