Bryan Drops League Game to Swanton

Bryan varsity boys basketball team had a 7 point edge at halftime, 27-20, but Swanton’s staunch defense and timely shooting stepped up in the second half as they outscore the Bears 36 to 14 in the second half to ultimately win the game, 56-41. The loss drops Bryan to 6-14 overall and 0-6 in the NWOAL. Gavin Jaessing & Landon Bassett each had 12 points, Masen Welling & Carter Dominique each had 5 points while Tucker Miller, Tucker Watson & Hunter Muehlfeld each tallied a bucket for 2 points a piece.

In JV action, Bryan came out on top 42 to 39. Rhett McGill had 15 points, Alex Diaz scored 10 points, Sam Gonzalez had 7 points, Bryce Welling with 5 points, Eric Koenig & Easton Kerr each had 2 points, and Quinn Green had 1 point.

The freshman game took overtime to decide it, but the Bears took the game with a final score of 34-30. Quinn Green led the way with 16 points, Rhett McGill had 11 points, Hunter Watson added 4 points, Alex Diaz with 2 points, Easton Kerr with 1 point.

Bryan will travel to Wauseon next Friday in their NWOAL finale.
