Bryan turned in an impressive all-around performance at the 2025 Bluffton Holiday Invitational on December 30 at the Lima Family YMCA, highlighted by a championship finish on the boys side and a strong top-four showing from the girls.
The Bryan boys put together a consistent, event-by-event effort to capture first place overall, finishing with 317 points to edge out a deep field that included Findlay and Lima Shawnee. The title reflected Bryan’s balance across both individual races and relays, as the Golden Bears piled up points throughout the meet and closed strong to secure the team victory.
On the girls side, Bryan remained in contention all day and finished fourth overall with 194 points, narrowly missing the podium in a tightly packed team race. The Bears stayed competitive across all strokes and distances, holding off several challengers and finishing just one point ahead of Versailles in the final standings.
Taken together, the results marked a successful holiday meet for Bryan, with the boys claiming a team championship and the girls continuing to establish themselves among the area’s top programs heading into the heart of the season.
Individual Highlights: Bryan picked up several top-five finishes throughout the meet, led by Nora Kunsman, who won the 100 freestyle and placed second in the 200 freestyle. On the boys side, Logan Slattery finished runner-up in the 200 IM, while Joshua Sampson took second in the 200 freestyle. Bryan also showed strength in relays, with the girls 200 medley relay and girls 200 freestyle relay both finishing second, and the boys 200 medley and boys 200 freestyle relays each placing third, helping fuel a strong overall team performance.
