The Bryan Golden Bears varsity boys soccer team played to an exciting 2-2 tie against the Celina Bulldogs at Golden Bear Stadium. Carter Altaffer opened the scoring for Bryan with a well-placed goal assisted by Alex Diaz, while Diaz returned the favor later in the first half, finding the back of the net off a setup from Altaffer. Jess Hendricks was a standout in goal, recording 8 saves to keep the Bears in the game despite Celina peppering the net with 22 shots compared to Bryan’s 11.
In the JV matchup, Bryan edged out Celina 1-0, with Andrew Slagle scoring the lone goal, assisted by Griffin Boehm.
It was a strong showing across both squads, highlighting teamwork, determination, and skill on the pitch for the Golden Bears.
