Late Comeback From Wauseon Costs Bryan Varsity Golden Bears

Monday’s game against Wauseon was a heartbreaker for Bryan Varsity Golden Bears, as they lost the lead late in a 3-2 defeat. The game was tied at two in the top of the seventh when Caleb Kissler singled, scoring one run.

Both teams were strong on the hill. Wauseon pitchers struck out eight, while Bryan Varsity Golden Bears sat down nine.

Carter Luce doubled to left field, which helped Bryan Varsity Golden Bears tie the game at two in the bottom of the sixth.

Cade Carlin took the loss for Bryan Varsity Golden Bears. The righty went six innings, surrendering three runs (two earned) on two hits, striking out eight and walking five.

Luce went 1-for-4 at the plate and led the team with two runs batted in. Jacob Uran led Bryan Varsity Golden Bears with three hits in four at bats.
