Bryan Baseball falls to Evergreen in Extra

Both teams were strong on the mound on Thursday, but Evergreen was just a little bit stronger at the plate in their 3-2 victory over Bryan Varsity Golden Bears. Cade Carlin started the game for Bryan Varsity Golden Bears and recorded 23 outs.

Bryan Varsity Golden Bears lost despite out-hitting Evergreen seven to six. Elijah Fry led Bryan Varsity Golden Bears with two hits.

Carter Luce doubled down the left field line, which helped Bryan Varsity Golden Bears tie the game at one in the top of the fifth.

Bryan Varsity Golden Bears took the lead in the top of the eighth. Hunter Watson singled, scoring one run, to give Bryan Varsity Golden Bears the edge, 2-1.

Carlin took the loss for Bryan Varsity Golden Bears. The righty went seven and two-thirds innings, giving up three runs on six hits, striking out nine and walking two.

Luce and Watson each drove in one run for Bryan Varsity Golden Bears.
