On Thursday October 2nd, the Bryan 8th grade football team beat the Swanton Bulldogs 40-20. The Bryan Golden Bears led 22-0 at half and went on to defeat the visiting Bulldogs in a high scoring 2nd half. Leading the way for the Bryan offense was Xavier Oliphant who caught 3 TD passes from QB Max Neff. London Villalovos and Ryan Carpenter led the Golden Bear rushing attack with Villalovos finding paydirt twice and Carpenter once. Neff and Villalovos both added 2-point conversion runs to round out the scoring. The Bryan defense was led by Ryan Carpenter, Alijyah Buehrer, Carson Connin, Isaiah Horton, and Hoyt McGill in tackles. Casen Herman intercepted a pass and Hoyt McGill recovered a fumble in key takeaways. The Bryan 8th grade football team is now 3-2 overall and will travel to Wauseon next Thursday.
