On Thursday September 11th, the Bryan 8th grade football team hosted Patrick Henry and defeated the Patriots 44-14. The Bryan Offense featured a strong rushing attack with Ryan Carpenter, London Villalovos, and Xavier Oliphant each scoring touchdowns on the ground. Max Neff connected with Nolan Wyman and London Villalovos for long touchdowns through the air. The Golden Bear defense created multiple turnovers with Aljyah Buehrer picking off a pass and Max Neff recovering a fumble caused by Carson Connin. A stout defensive effort resulted in tackles for loss by Carson Connin, Ryan Carpenter, Max Neff, Aljyah Buehrer, and Travon Koonce. Casen Herman added a pass breakup. The Bryan 8th grade is now 1-1 on the season and they will travel to Liberty Center next Thursday (5:00 p.m.).
