On Thursday October 10th, the Bryan 7th grade football team hosted Hicksville under the lights and came away with a big 36-0 victory. The Bryan rushing attack got a big boost from Xavier Oliphant playing in his 1st game of the season after an injury and scored 3 rushing touchdowns while London Villalovos and Ryan Carpenter each ran for a score. Hoyt McGill caught a 2-point conversion pass from Max Neff while Neff and Villalovos both added 2-point conversion runs. The Golden Bears led 36-0 at half time and controlled the line of scrimmage with physical play on both sides of the football. The Bryan defense maintained the shut out in the 2nd half and finished off the decisive victory to make it 3 wins in a row for the 7th grade football team. Leading the way defensively for the Golden Bears with multiple tackles were Max Neff, Isaiah Horton, Hoyt McGill, Tra’von Koonce, Ryan Carpenter, London Villalovos and Casen Herman. Defensive backs Nolan Wyman, Xavier Oliphant, Max Lirot, Alyjah Buehrer, and Mack Inselmann each broke up a pass. The Bryan 7th grade football team is now 3-3 overall and will host Wauseon next Thursday October 17th (5:00 p.m.).
