Bryan 7th Grade Football Shuts Out Wauseon in a 28-0 Win!

On Thursday October 17th, the Bryan 7th grade football team hosted the Wauseon Indians with the Golden Bears winning 28-0 win. The Golden Bears opened the game with an efficient scoring drive capped off by a Ryan Carpenter touchdown run. After a quick stop by the Golden Bear defense, the Bryan ground game continued to work as Xavier Oliphant scored on a long touchdown run and added the 2-point conversion run to make it 14-0. Bryan took a 22-0 lead into halftime with London Villolovos scoring a touchdown run and a 2-point conversion run in the 2nd quarter. The leading receiver was Ryan Carpenter who caught a long pass from Max Neff to set up the last touchdown of the game with Carpenter plunging in from a few yards out. The Bryan defense dominated all game with big plays coming from Tra’von Koonce who forced a fumble and Xavier Oliphant recovering it, Alyjah Buehrer with an interception, and Sawyer Baumgartner making a huge tackle for loss on a fake punt. Ryan Carpenter, Max Neff, and Hoyt McGill each added tackles for loss. The Golden Bear defense continues to improve as they have now recorded back to back shutouts during their 4 game winning streak. The Bryan 7th grade football team is now 4-3 overall and will finish the season on Tuesday at Archbold (5:00 p.m.).
