On Thursday September 12th, the Bryan 7th grade football team travelled to Delta and lost in a hard fought battle 30-20. Leading the way offensively for the Golden Bears was RB–London Villalovos scoring 2 touchdowns. QB–Max Neff connected with Villalovos on a pass in the 1st half to put Bryan on the scoreboard. Both teams relied on their ground game in a quickly played 1st half that saw Delta up 8-6 at halftime. In the 2nd half both teams scored multiple touchdowns, as Bryan QB–Max Neff scored on a rushing TD with Villalovos adding a 2-point conversion run in the 4th quarter. Then late in the 4th quarter, RB–London Villalovos hit pay dirt again with long touchdown run to end the scoring for the Golden Bears. Defensively, Bryan was led by Hoyt McGill, Zach Lamneck, Sawyer Baumgartner, London Villalovos, and Nolan Wyman. Wyman added his 2nd interception of the season. The Bryan 7th grade football team is now 0-2 overall and will host Patrick Henry next Thursday on September 19 (5:00 p.m.).
